Where can I get HK BOB books?
School Libraries participating in HK BOB will purchase copies of all of the titles each year.
Many public library branches also will have titles available to borrow. If your library branch does not have the books, you can request they be purchased. Most local bookstores carry HK BOB titles.


Which division does my child's school belong?
Primary- International Schools, Grade 4 and 5 (HK & US Systems)/Year 5 and 6 (British System)
Secondary- International Schools Grade 6, 7,8 (HK & US System)/Year 7, 8, 9 (British System)
Modified Primary- Local CMI or Mixed ECMI Primary Schools levels 1-6
Modified Secondary- Local CMI or EMI Secondary Schools years S1, S2 and S3

Are there age limits for student participants?
All primary participants must be 11 years old or younger on the day of the Final.
All secondary participants must be 14 years old or younger on the day of the Final.

How do I sign my child up for HK BOB?
Students interested in participating in HK BOB should ask their school librarian for information for how HK BOB works at their school.  A designated coach for each school will register the school for the citywide competition.   

How does my child best prepare to compete in HK BOB?
Students who read more books are more likely to qualify for their school teams. Students can read the books independently or have them read to them. Students are welcome to read the books in print, ebook or audiobook formats. HK BOB is a voluntary reading program and a student's choice to participate or not should be honored.
